Julie became President of JEDA in February 2024. Julie is a former Airline Training Captain, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and Barrister at Law; prior to undertaking her position as CEO of Avtrain she was the Director Compliance for Norwegian Air International . She is the founding and current Vice-Chair of the Unmanned Aircraft Association of Ireland and is the JEDA representative on JARUS – the Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems where she is Vice-Chair of the JARUS Industry Stakeholder’s Body Steering Committee.

She a member of the Board of Advisors for the Estonian Aviation Academy (EAVA), the Ireland Liaison for the Advanced Air Mobility Institute and is a Royal Aeronautical Society Mentor for aspiring aviators.

Philippe Boyadjis

Philippe has been Vice-President of JEDA since February 2022 and the President of french federation FPDC – Fédération Professionnelle du Drone Civil since July 2022, and in charge of JEDA’s annual drone european survey.

Philippe is the director of a professional training company for drone pilots in the Paris region, and himself holds French and European drone pilot qualifications.

Vidmantas Kairys

Vidmantas has been Vice President of JEDA – Joint European Drone Associations since February 2022 and he is a chair of Asociacija Dronea, Lithuania. With nearly three decades of experience in aviation business development, building strategies, and partnerships in the public and commercial sectors, Vidmantas served in a number of leadership roles in Airline, Airport, Air navigation service provider, Functional Airspace Block, and Ministry of Transport.

Stefan Hristozov

Stefan has been Secretary of JEDA – Joint European Drone Associations since September 2023 and he is the founder of Unmanned Systems Bulgaria.

Stefan holds a PhD in Cybernetics from the Institute of Robotics to the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. As an expert he is a member of several national and international working groups on UAS.

Laurent Geeraerts
Treasurer

Laurent GEERAERTS is a geographer, specialized in aerial mapping, and this is how he entered the world of  drones more than 10 years ago. 

He is currently the Head of Training at Noordzee Drones (Belgium), board member of BDF (Belgian Drone Federation) and treasurer of JEDA (Joint European Drone Associations).

In this capacity he participated to different work groups and meetings on the implementation of the UAS regulations but in Belgium and internationally.
